Gabon and Imperial Truidence today ratified a friendship and alliance treaty that it set to kick-start the development of a government area in Highgrove.
The treaty provides for Gabon and Imperial Truidence to assist each other in enforcing their criminal laws and perpetuates Gabon’s stance as a neutral and peaceful country.
It also provides for each country to build an embassy, as soon as practicable, in the other’s territory.
This accords with plans by the Agency for Growth and Innovation, which is headed by the First Lady, to construct an area dedicated to government and other official buildings, in Highgrove.
The Gazette understands that the agency intends to create a dedicated embassy area, and that this treaty may spur the Lord’s Council to respectfully ask the Lord High Chancellor, who is Gabon’s chief diplomat, to ratify other similar treaties with more countries in the short term.
“As efforts continue with the redevelopment work around the Portsmouth area, an emergency Cabinet Office meeting was held to progress planning for the area surrounding Highgrove Palace to ensure development efforts are matched equally in the area”, the First Lady said.
“As Gabon continues to grow, it is important to ensure adequate resources are applied equally to all districts, ensuring uniformity and equality across the whole land”.
“We have engaged with the Agency of Housing and Urban Development to ensure an appropriate amount of planning and care goes in to the rejuvenation efforts of such a historic area of Gabon”.
“The new embassy area around Highgrove Palace will allow us to continue to grow relations with other nations”.
The Gazette understands dialogue with Imperial Truidence continues after Gabonese officials attended the royal coronation in Imperial Truidence and expects construction of embassies to begin within a fortnight.
