Recently celebrating their virtual marriage during lockdown, the Chancellor and the First Lady have opened a trendy bar whose homemade brews have wooed heads of state during diplomatic events.
The lounge bar, aptly dubbed the Thirst Lady Bar and Lounge, has already been experimenting with traditional distillations as well as new, trendy alcoholic beverages.
The Gazette understands that the lounge bar is operated solely by the First Lady, though she admits to receiving His Excellency’s “advice and emotional support during the rocky time of starting a business to better Gabon”.
And these brews have already made their way around the globe.
At a recent diplomatic trip for the royal coronation in Imperial Truidence, Gabon’s local brews featured front and centre.
“At the recent coronation ceremony, diplomatic emissaries provided the incoming emperor with a bottle of First Lady Mead amongst other gifts celebrating the homegrown products of Gabon”, a spokesperson for the First Lady told the Gazette.
“We hope to continue to foster our newfound alliance between the two great nations.”
As well as opening the new lounge bar, the First Lady has also been busy decorating a beautiful new marital home in the upmarket suburb of Whitehaven.
The home was gifted to the First Lady by the Lord High Chancellor as a wedding gift, to make sure the pair have plenty of space to grow into and somewhere they could potentially raise a family.
“I am quite proud of my Lady’s efforts”, the Lord High Chancellor said exclusively to the Gazette.
“Our former was simply too small for married life and eventually family life.”
“The First Lady seems to love it and has decorated it fabulously with the finest furnishing.”
Aside from opening a new business, the First Lady was also recently appointed Head of Growth and Innovation within the Gabon Public Service.
“My role in the agency will focus on appropriate initiatives and providing opportunities to the many budding entrepreneurs of Gabon and will ensure that all businesses are legally operating on Gabon territory and are doing all they can to benefit the great Gabonese economy,” the First Lady said.
The lounge bar remains closed to the public due to lingering health concerns from the Covid-19 threat that previously attacked Gabon.
Caution around the virus continues as it continues to overwhelm other countries around the globe.
