In an innovative attempt to generate government income, Gabon has announced a new system called the Salisbury Listings to promote the creation of XP.
Offering citizens and foreigners alike an easy way to join the production of XP, the new government programme allows people to contribute certain ingredients in return for the XP they generate.
If an ingredient is in high demand, it will produce more XP for the supplier — and vice versa.
Updating as needs change, the listings programme allows anyone to benefit from production and assists the government in receiving difficult to acquire ingredients.
“The Salisbury Listings will allow all citizens of Gabon and those from around the world to participate in Gabon’s XP industry without the barriers to entry of starting from scratch or having a tax imposed on them as seen in other systems”, said the Vice Chancellor.
“This model will allow us to offer better prices than seen abroad”.
In its first offering, the programme offers a low return of 1 emerald per 1,422 raw potatoes as the government already has a surplus of this ingredient.
But for those who have ingredients currently in high demand like brown mushrooms, the programme will prove lucrative offering 1 emerald for just 12 mushrooms.
The system also allows casual buyers to purchase emeralds for diamonds without otherwise contributing ingredients.
It is expected to provide a strong level of income for the government over the long term.
It replaces the previous Varkonian XP Guild, which was superseded following Gabon’s independence from Varkonia.
