The Varkonian senate today approved two deals presented by Gabon to secure its withdrawal from the former union.

Under a friendship treaty and an understanding on XP generation, Gabon and Varkonia have agreed upon how the former country will become independent.

The treaty continues the alliance between the two nations, ensuring that an everlasting peace exists between them.

It also sets out that the countries will respect each other, and not interfere in each other’s politics.

The memorandum of understanding furthers the nations’ collaboration on the generation of XP, as well as Gabon providing Varkonia with intelligence and a fast tracked citizenship application process.

Importantly, the treaty transfers the territory of Gabon back to its government.

This means that Gabon is now formally and functionally independent from Varkonia.

The Gazette understands that the Lord’s Council is fast-tracking legislation to support Gabon’s transition to independence and ensure the continued prosperity of the nation.
