Varkonia went to the polls on 29 July in the first senate election since the Infinity War, with incumbents facing fresh faces in a race to lead the future of Varkonia — and with only five seats up for grabs we are watching the draw closely.

The Red Duke of Varkonia, the second in command, called the elections on the 20th of July. They mark the transition of the wartime government into a peacetime government, and are set to shake up the politics of Varkonia — and Gabon — for the future.

After a tight set of public debates, Waterroo decided to pull out of the race. This may shore up the votes for another fresh face, Evilxfish, who hails from Gabon and has been a prominent face in the local XP market.

It is clear that members of the Gabon government, namely the Lord High Chancellor and his Vice Chancellor, are strong picks for the senate seats. It is nearly without a doubt that they will be returned to their current seats, and continue to vigorously represent the interests of Gabon in Varkonia.

Given that there are only 5 seats up for election, Gabon citizens will hold the balance of power with three out of 5 seats set to be handed to them in the election.

The two other candidates that are likely to be elected are incumbents Seldomshock and S4NTA.

The election concludes on 31 July, and we will bring you full coverage of the results.
