Having held a vote in the legislature earlier today, PergySkeel has been declared the 5th Prime Minister of the Commonwealth.
He replaces the previous prime minister, Falvyu, whose term ended naturally. The Gazette understands that Falvyu did not wish to stand for re-election.
PergySkeel has climbed the ranks in the Commonwealth after joining in October 2018.
Originally an industrious builder, the new prime minister helped out with large-scale infrastructure projects in the Commonwealth. He assisted the government in its transportation of a purchase of building materials valued at 400 diamonds from Impasse.
The prime minister is also known for his capitalistic ventures, operating his OP Excavating and Railways company. This company has dug rail tunnels and trenches around the world, and has employed both newfriends and experienced labourers.
Prior to his prime ministerial ambitions, PergySkeel was elected as the quasi-mayor of Taliesin, a borough of the Commonwealth. He has remained at this post for around 8 months, with continuous support from the borough’s citizens.
His election has been warmly received amongst the legislature. “I think we’re all glad to have PergySkeel as the new prime minister,” said specificlanguage, a member of the legislature and recently-elected moderator of the Forum for International Diplomacy.
Shake up in government
The government may be set for a shake up, with deputy prime minister brinton resigning from office last week just prior to the election.
“I got a bit burned out I’m afraid,” said brinton. “And frankly I got a little bored.”
“Hopefully the world will still be here when that burnout goes away. I’d love to help however I can, when I can.”
Both brinton and Falvyu remain members of the Commonwealth’s legislature.
